AFRI-NUT COMPANY LTD (Manufacturing)
Afri-Nut Company Ltd is a Malawian registered ground nut processing company. The company is an initiative of NASFAM (National Smallholder Association of Malawi) and Twin. Capacity Building for Enterprise was awarded the contract through Challenge Worldwide, a sister project by responding to an advert for consultancy to perform sensitivity analysis for the business model, coordinate work performed by individual project team members and final compilation of the fiver year business plan. The main aim of the business plan was to raise an initial investment of US$0.78million from prospective investors. The company attracted 6 investors who will invest US$0.78, the required initial investment.

MALAWI SUN HOTEL (Tourism and Hospitality)
Located in the Blantyre Central Business District Malawi Sun Hotel is a 48 bed roomed hotel which has breathtaking views of the Ndirande Mountain. Malawi Sun Management was looking at a number of options on expanding the hotel operations, and to utilize a piece of land they had bought. Capacity Building for Enterprise was engaged to do a feasibility study aimed at assessing which of the options available to Malawi Sun was the most suitable option for investment. The financial modelling showed that expanding the current bedroom style was the best financial option and also met the market demands.

HORIZON HEALTH LIMITED (Health)
Horizon Health Limited is a registered health insurance company established in July 2010.The business started operating in Zomba, Malawi, in July 2010 before expanding to Blantyre in January 2011. The client was looking for a business plan that would help it raise a total initial investment of MK15million from prospective investors and also to get valuable market insights. The business plan was aimed at helping the entity to effectively adopt cost effective market penetration strategies and grow the business organically. The target market for the business is employers and employees of small and medium enterprises, individual and families.

A Business Plan was provided to the client and it helped them to gain market insights especially about their competitors and opportunities Got on board 3 additional investors with expected investment of MK1.7million and increased number of employees from 3 to 12
